This evidence might not hold up in court, but the perpetrator seems clear.
I do not think the culprit is necessarily obvious. Try this experiment. Scold your dog when it has done nothing wrong - it will probably act as if it is guilty. The dog is merely reacting to your tone of voice, not some perceived misdeed.
I just tried that. My dog looked at me as if I was being stupid. He got up and walked away. But it was funny.
Oh, and if he's squirting a chair leg cuz he doesn't know I'm around, he might look a bit guilty, but it's more like "what did I do?"
I think he learned that from my teenagers.
Total LOL for me! I love those cute little pups.
And I don't know about "not knowing". I got three little squirters and I often get the feeling they know exactly what is going on. They know how to get outside or let me know, and if they don't want to go out because it's raining or cold, little wet spots appear when I'm not looking and in sneaky spots. I also walk them regularly and push them outside every 4 hours.
They know. And I don't yell at them, just rush them outside if I see them squat or lift a leg.
Sunshine, no problem. Rain or sleet, I get sneaky wet spots in sneaky places. They know, oh, they know.
And you gotta watch them during rain or sleet you put them in the yard. Sometimes they run out there and run right back and want to get right in. Then I get a wet spot a while later. So they have 5 min out there minimum if I don't see them do anything in the yard. Sometimes I go out with them just to prove it's not a big deal.
That is all it takes with my two dogs, just a small scolding, and they know they did wrong. Those dogs are so cute.
I love these cute animal videos that Dr. M. posts! This one is no exception..cute, cute!
And aaalll the dog books say they don't know
when they've 'done wrong'. SO untrue...this video proves it!
You cannot help feeling bad for the pups... such sad brown eyes...
Lol...that's great!
