Watch this dog zip up a tree with speed, dexterity, and grace.

Dixie - I think that is so funny that you have a "dissenter badge"! Don't you know you should never disagree with anything here? :)
I didn't even know there are dissenter badges! that's hilarious. I'll give u a couple thumbs up maybe you can be in good graces again :)
I also didn't like the video, btw! I like Mercola's medical and fitness articles, but maybe he should give up on posting pet videos....I'm always a little uneasy opening them, never know if it's going to be something cute or cringe worthy.
Really, will this guy be laughing when his dog breaks a bone? I'm still getting over the poor bunny being terrorized by the cat. Can't find anything funny in that one either.
I can't believe what some so-called animal lovers make their pets do. I think this is cruel. The dog is obviously in distress trying to come back down. Shame on the owner!
Yeah, I'm with Schnitzel...I'd rather be up a tree than on the ground being chased by a couple of Dalmatians and a baby!
My brother had a German Shepherd that would climb a tree to get his tennis ball we'd wedge in the fork of the tree but it's more impressive to see something with three-inch legs do it!
There are 2 other dogs in this picture that willingly try to go up the tree but cannot. Before blaming the owner of cuelty (he is just cheering from what I can see), has it occured to you that maybe this dog is just a natural climber? Here is one comment from a youtube viewer of this video: "My toy poodle started climbing before he even opened his eyes, and climbed faster and more easily than this cute dog. I miss him so much. He lived almost 19 years."
I've always wondered why kids nowadays are so attracted to extreme and dangerous sports... Now I believe I can guess why... If people here are a sample of what their parents are, the poor children have lived a padded childhood without any occasion to get a knee scratch and have not yet understood that fire burns and a bad fall can really be dangerous.
I agree. Some dogs are natural climbers. I have done shelter work and it's typically the fox hounds that will climb anything, including the kitchen counter.
I see no difference between this and the mules and the donkeys that climb up and down the grand canyon and have done so for years. They joke at the trail ride site that they lose one stupid human per year doing something stupid climbing around or leaning over in the canyon, but almost never a mule. I have also been to dude ranches in the mountains that say the same thing--the mountain trail horses are far smarter than humans and it's rare to have a problem with a horse.
