Hungry Cat Gets Fish Fillet from Freezer

Cute? Maybe. But I couldn't, and wouldn't, allow any of our cats to do that. (Two of the six regularly get up on top of the fridge, which I don't mind. There's no way they can open the freezer of our freezer-on-the-top refrigerator, nor have they ever tried). This cat obviously knows the owner is standing nearby [videoing] and not expressing disapproval to the cat. So the cat's going to think this is an OK thing to do. Maybe it was a one-time thing, but still.... Cats are smart and learn REALLY quickly what they can get away with. It's setting a bad precedent.

Now =this= was fun to watch.  :-D  What a clever cat!

Oh my gosh, that is funny!!!  But I do agree w/ Denise69 that the freezer appeared to open pretty easily -- nevertheless, quite amusing. Reminds me of some of our cats' antics in the past, and they did some doozies. Wish we could have caught them on video.  One time we had taken a whole chicken in the plastic wrapper out of the freezer and set it on the counter to defrost for a bit. We went in a bedroom to study and shut the door. After a bit we started hearing some muffled odd noises....thought maybe the cats were playing in the bathroom in the tub or something. Went to investigate. They (3 of them: 2 major players and a cohort) had gotten the hard-as-a-rock chicken off the counter, dragged it out of the kitchen and most of the way down a fair length hall towards their bedroom. Must have been quite a job for them. They had ripped a small hole in the wrapper and been gnawing on a frozen leg. Quite the characters. Two of them were brothers (about 1 1/2 years old then), and the other a nice younger female stray we'd had about a year. The boys were extremely athletic with wonderful dispositions -- playful and sweet. They rarely got on the counters, but I guess the temptation of the frozen chicken was for some reason just too good a find to pass up.  Haven't had time to watch some of the other videos, but will try to get back to them another time. Nothing like a really good laugh!

The door wasn't sealed off. No effort at all for the cat to push open.

Ha ha! My cat would have gone for the ice cream.

Think I'll stick to dogs! ... Ones that are too short to open the fridge!
