In the last few years, thousands of snowy owls have migrated south from their home in the Arctic. Veterinarians at the Maryland Zoo are collaborating with the Maryland Department of Natural Resources to rehabilitate an injured female owl, and are also taking the opportunity to study this little-known bird before attempting to release her back into the wild.
