Recently, a pet food retailer conducted a survey of 675 U.K. dog owners to learn their buying habits in light of the tough economy. The results of the survey indicate that just as in the U.S., "people aren't shy when it comes to spending money on their pet and making sure that their health remains positive."
The majority of survey respondents – 74 percent – report that despite the current economic climate, they buy top quality premium pet food, and 61 percent believe quality is the most important factor when choosing a food to purchase.
