The First Thing to Do if You Find an Orphaned Kitten

Raising a very young, orphaned, or feral kitten is quite a bit more challenging than you might imagine if you’ve never done it. The ideal solution if you can arrange it is to find a nursing mother cat willing to take on another mouth to feed. If that isn’t possible, you’ll need to prepare for several weeks of constant care to safely raise a very young motherless kitten to the point of weaning. Honestly, it takes lots of energy and hard work… but the rewards are tremendous.
